It is designed to give you an opportunity to further explore areas of exceptionality that you might discover in your role as educational assistants. The four areas are: English Language Learners (ELL), Special Health Care Needs, Neurological Disorders, Bright and Gifted and Severe and Multiple Disabilities.
As bloggers, your job will be to inform others about the current information available regarding the area selected. Definitions, prevalence, categories, etiology, assessment and intervention must all be included. It is expected that you will use your Winzer and Bennett textbooks as your primary sources of information unless otherwise advised. All other resources must be clearly labeled and professional in nature.
